Well we hit the rewind button on our recently updated preferred lies policy for SWGA. Major Teams played at Overlake last Thursday, and overwhelmingly requested that we return to a kinder, gentler preferred lies policy for our golf events when conditions dictate that we use preferred lies.
So, starting with our first Sweeps event at Rainier where Tournament Chair Barbara Bacon let us know that preferred lies will be in effect, you will be able to lift, clean, and place your ball anywhere in the general area through the green. That includes the fairway AND the rough (whew!). You still can't lift, clean, and place in bunkers or penalty areas.
